Managing CodeBot Data

Campfire keeps some data so CodeBot can work with a workspace over time. This includes chat cache, approvals, memories, usage information, and other state that helps Campfire restore context or remember workspace-specific choices.

Some CodeBot data belongs to the workspace and lives under .campfire. Some data belongs to the app or account and applies across workspaces. This section will document what is stored, where it lives, when it is safe to remove, and which parts are useful to keep with a workspace.

Common Data

CodeBot-related data can include:

  • Cached chat state.
  • Workspace approvals.
  • Workspace memories.
  • Skills and skill metadata.
  • Usage records and previews.
  • Scheduled or proactive work state.

Local or Shared

Not all CodeBot data has the same purpose. Cache and approvals are usually local runtime state. Memories and skills may be useful workspace knowledge. Before deleting or ignoring a whole folder, check what is inside and whether the workspace depends on it.
